Behind the ambition of making the Nila Resort a worldwide symbol for sustainable tourism, there is a real desire of sharing with local populations.
For this reason, we created our own NGO called Sumba Bisa (meaning Sumba is able to).
The purpose is to guide the island’s development towards a sustainable path, whilst helping improve the Sumbaneses’ quality of life.
The main projects are:
